Design thinker, creative strategist, designer, musician, photographer, speaker, blogger and creative director with a fascination for innovation, technology, social media and the arts. As an all round creative INFJ my passion has always been to create memorable experiences through imagination expressed with music, photography and design. People have always been at the center of my imagination, inspiring me to create memorable experiences for them. As Global Head of Brand Communication Design at Philips, based atPhilips Design in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, my work focuses on driving brand experience design strategy and creative direction across the company, working with counterparts at Global Marketing and Communication as well as Marketing from the Philips Sectors of Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle. Together these teams are responsible for establishing the Philips brand in the hearts and minds of its stake holders and championing the activation of Brand strategy across all touch points. I lead the Philips Global Brand Communication Design function across the company and provide Design Strategy and Creative Direction to all Philips sectors and regions. I began my career at Philips in 1998 as an audio designer. I widened my area of expertise into the digital world, and moved on to New Media Design in 2000, working on product and interface design as well as online communications. From here I then decided to focus on online, and worked as Senior Art Director as of 2005. Within two years, I moved on as  Senior Consultant in Innovation Design, and developed research to support innovation design and was also responsible for enriching design concepts using input from business, marketing and technology experts. I took a leading role in various Philips strategic projects, including a number of simplicity-led design innovations that were shown at the Philips Simplicity Events of 2005, 2006 and 2007 in Paris, London, New York and Hong Kong.

I lead the global online design team and provide design, branding and communication consultancy to all Philips sectors.

In this role I have been part of the Next Simplicity team, where I led the end to end creation of award winning visionary design concepts which articulated the the future vision of the Philips brand. I led research and analysis activities, concept, design and production of working product system prototypes which where exhibited during a Philips roadshow across the world.

Attracted to social media I have been using platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and FourSquare to create a digital engagement ecosystem within the above mentioned niches.
